SL55 Fuel Pump
Anyone here had their fuel pump replaced?
My car has trouble getting over 50 - 60 mph, as soon as you try to increase speed, there's a loss of power, the gearbox cant decide what gear it wants to be in, slight backfiring through the exhaust and very poor fuel consumption, down from 21 to 16.7 mpg. No dash lights or messages.
Mercedes came out to take a look, diagnosed fuel pump problems, so it was trailered into the dealer - second time in 2 months after an ABC leak.
Anyone know what's involved in changing the fuel pump including of course some idea of cost?
