SL55/63/65/R230 AMG: My new Renntech SL55- pictures
For my part, anyway, if the car and wheels are real (nobody denied either respect), as you say, then I do not desire to challenge this nor detract from the truly stunning car you have. This machine is certainly first-class.
Where this got a little muddled is, in that the photos do look rather chopped and peiced into the hubs and would have otherwise looked far better untouched. It was noticed that these wheels indeed do have some rather peculiar and unsightly cues to them which, upon a car of this magnitude begs the question: why? Why then, edit the originals, which would have presented an even better photo than what you posted?
The website you offer does reveal the wheels we see, and the party you mention may confirm this, too. However, speaking for myself, I'm not calling your integrity necessarily in question; but merely, your choice and reasoning for the unsightly photo alignment and cohesion.
Pocholin never detracted from the beauty of the car, only that it appeared to have some peculiar photoshop work. You stated that this was not the case (at least in some instances) and said that it had to do with "background effect."
Shank, was the background so bad that you needed to bring the cuts and angled edges to the foreground? This is only causing people to question your thinking now, if not more.
Anyhow, whatever your reasons were (as long as you're genuine, and you probably are), your car looks great, even if mired by the aforemention aspects. I just wish you would have posted the photos as they were, with the original wheel visuals intact. Pocholin asked you about this as well. This would help.
Question: You didn't like RENNtech's wheels? They have a set very similar to yours. I've been to their shop and will likely get back up there again soon.
Good luck.
Chris

Good pick, is it my imagination, but are there inconsistancies in every pic around the wheels? It looks that way to me.
SL Shank
Were you trying to lower the car, resize the wheels, or what in these pics?
I don't get it????

Once again, what I usually do is screw around with the background effects just for kicks. There is no resizing of the wheel. I was oringinally going to Cut the car out, Blur the background, or some other effect, and paste the "Clear" image of the car on the blurred background.....until I got lazy and looked at the amount of pics I had.....Just posted as is, unfinished. At this point, I really dont give a **** what you guys think
of the photos, but I wanted to share what the BBS LM's looked like on the SL. If this was a photography message board, I would be appauled at the pics. IT IS NOT, so WHO CARES.Peace

...as I came to admire and a share fellow MB owner's pride and joy and find myself questioning his credibility. Not even having as keen an eye as Pocholin, I noticed front apron too close to ground and rear shot of sl55 right side is lower to ground. If you can't take unretouched pic of car, why bother?

What credibility are you questioning? What part of "Screwing around with photoshop for kicks" do you not get? You are thinking that I am trying to sell something and defraud you or something. Get a life dude.

What part of click then upload don't you get? That's why these BS about photoshop is intolerable for me - it's because I do have a life and my time is precious. Get an SL55 fer real!

Not sure what is more funnier. That or "Get an SL55 fer real"
No wait, its "my time is precious" - I guess thats why you post here with idiotic comments. LOL
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
Never encountered such immaturity on a message board - Well let me say nice car Ryan and the Lm's are impressive - good luck with your new ride
I'm still curious as to the reason why he choose a 19x10 wheel in the front.

Oh yeah, and nice car SL Shank (Is Ryan your first name?)
Do you experiance any rubbing? :p
No, I had the fenders rolled. Though AMG rolls the fenders from the factory, They had to be rolled a bit more to accomodate the 315/25's in rear and 265's in front.

It is really amazing how you cant appear to take a normal picture in a regular setting of your car.....yet you have so much time on your hands to photoshop everything....interesting.
On a lighter note, here's my photoshop attempt - this car is actually a Chevy Cavalier.
Pretty good job, wouldn't you say?

The late Carl Sagan once said:
"Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence."
Precisely!
In this case, however, we'd settle for just one untouched photo!
Why no mention og the SL55 on your (very profesional) home page?
