RaFFI...its at Auto Paint Guard getting a full Xpel Ultimate wrap. It'll get back tomorrow and then onto the upholsterer.
I'll take pics of the Xpel ultimate...from what they are telling me it looks great with the wrap.

The SL is at the upholsterer shop now for about 2 weeks...probably looking at another 6-8 weeks to be on the safe side. We are still waiting on the Ferrari split leather (black) for the upper portion of the SL...its just thinner and more malleable for dash work.
The contrast between the smooth black leather against the grainy and worn look of the Pagani leather should be epic...the focus will be contrasting materials and the stitching.
The Xpel Ultimate covers the whole car now and the job is fantastic...you would be hard pressed to notice it (I'll post pics next week).
The wheels are COMING this Friday...and final test fitting will ensue...I'll post pics after we get them on...13" wide rears with 325/25/20's Michelin PSS's...6 inch lip with 3 inch exposed lip (3" are taken up by the centers)...I love them. The combination of a lip and concavity will be sweet.

I follow this project since Day 1... I love it.
I have a question that can sound deeply noob-esque.
Why does it take so long to fit a bodykit on a car, to paint it and reupholstering the interior ?

In the case of the SL, I received the body kit sooner than the body shop was ready. They were still working on my 993tt build.
The body kit itself needed A LOT of work to make it look presentable...and the body shop we use are notoriously slow...VERY good but not very fast. Which I prefer since I know they aren't cutting corners and doing it right...
They do a lot of ground up restorations of old porsche 356's and 911's so their body work and painting I don't question...
But they still took about a month longer than normal on this build...I put up with it because I can't really complain about the quality and I wasn't in a hurry.
The upholsterer was still tied up with my 993tt and 997tt cab builds so that added down time to the SL65 build. I'd say that added about 3-4 weeks of down time...
It'll get done and I'm sure that there will be a smile on my face when all is said and done.
In the meantime...
The wheels showed up a day early...fastest turnaround time I've ever had for build to spec wheels...4 weeks.

It gets complicated when you have 4 extensive build projects going on at the same time.

I try to order exactly same model of Rotiforms to my widebody project .... but they was not interested to sell me anything.... so I made a deal with Modulare wheels....
But those looks really good.
I think if you don't choose right size of front tires and the offset is to low it's gone hit at the front frame at the inner fender when you turn the wheels and you must cut it of a little.
It's not dangerous.
The car it's gone look sick with those wheels....!!!!

We won't really know until full weight and real world duress occurs with the wheels/tires on the car but I really trust our wheel and tire guy (Mike@AdvancedPerformance)...he lives for this ****e. He can talk offset all day long...so much so I could leave the room and come back and he is still talking to himself thinking he is talking to me or whoever.
But he knows his stuff...final test fitting will happen hopefully next week. They are going to take the wheels/tires to the upholsterers shop for final fitting. I'll try and post pics...

Yes I belive you.I want only mention what happen with my wheels and tires size.
I have 10*20" ET-3 and tires 265/30*20" at the front and it hit when I turn the wheel. I must cut of approx 1/4" of the frame so it don't hit. ..
Good luck and hope to see your car with those wheels as soon as possible.... it's gone look amazing

Custom upholsteries are very very popular in the european tuning scene, but less in the USA where mods are mostly Performance oriented.
A custom natural brown upholstery is something I find really delicious.
Please promise me to make a nasty photoshoot when everything is finished with a Complete list of modifications.
We are all very patient with this project so we deserve our eye candy !!!

While the wheels will no doubt look otherworldly..you better have a spare set in stock for when you bend them...
I think I am going to sell my 20" BBS CH-R's. The roads are too bad up here..going back to 19's.

Some more terrible pics from the upholsterer...I need to get him a better cell phone camera or a DSL... Or at the very least get him to use autofocus...
There will be more CF in this car than we thought which will give more hutzpah into the interior. You can't really appreciate the Pagani distressed leather in the car...the floor mats I've been promised will be epic.
