Hey guys I just picked up a silver 2007 SL55 with 20k on the clock. Love the car. Coming from an E55 I thought they would be similar in power and luxury and come to find that the SL55 is a few big steps up....

A few questions- I have K&Ns from my E55. I assume they are the same size and a direct fit. Is it worth to install them? Also this might sound silly but what are you guys running for license plate frames? Not sure what I want to do yet as I am also considering getting bumper plugs for the front holes and running no plate.

Another question - where can I get the rear spoiler? I am considering carbon fiber for contrast and match interior.

I installed a set of K&Ns on my '06 SL55 and it really did not make a difference other than I had the ability to clean and reuse them.

As for the front license plate frame, mine was drilled into the front bumper so short of filling the holes and repainting the bumper, I left it alone.

I have seen the rear spoiler on Ebay and can get it in carbon fiber....probably $199? Check and see because the OEMs will easily run over $400.

For the guys who have plates mounted already and therefore holes in the bumper take a look at this site Bumperplugs.com. Did it on my 911 back in the day. Worked great. I might give them a try. The only unfortunate issue is my dealer has some moron put my plates on and drove the screws that attach the plate into the fascia also. Now I have 6 holes. What an ***.
