Evosport | New evo2 Performance Brake Rotors

The New evo2 Rotors Offer Significant Improvements And Innovations

The Evosport performance brake rotors are designed as a direct replacement for the OE 1 or 2-piece brakes (no modifications are necessary), and work with the factory AMG brake calipers. They offer a significant improvement in cooling and brake performance over factory brake rotors- now over 60% more air for improved cooling and reduced brake fade on street or track. In addition, not only will the upgraded "floating" rotor design help mitigate brake fade, but they are lighter than stock and reduce unsprung weight on the front or rear axle. This means better acceleration, braking and cornering. It's easy to see why the Evosport brake rotors are the best-selling brake upgrade on the market for your AMG vehicle!

:: What's New In evo2

Our new evo2 rotor design offers significant improvements and innovations over the evo1 (1st generation) rotor to increase the performance of your vehicle while improving the life of your brake components.

:: Redesigned Hats

The hats have been completely redesigned to be lighter and perform better. Engineered directional vents on each hat dramatically optimizes cooling and further improves airflow. Further, drive pin washers made of strong Inconel (used in military, aircraft engines and racing applications) are practically impervious to oxidation or corrosion. Curved design on the drive pin washer add additional tension to the assembly thus reducing rattle and offering a quieter ride. The elongated drive pin holes allow independent expansion of the rotor and hat without coning. All front rotors are now made of lightweight aircraft-grade 7075 aluminum to offer additional strength and resilience.

:: More vanes. More cooling

The new discs now feature twice the number of vanes that are uniquely designed to optimize airflow inside the rotor. This improved design further minimizes turbulence and results in up to 80% better airflow than the OE rotor. This translates to even less brake fade and an increase in overall braking performance. Additional material has also been added to the outer rings to offer increased rotor life and resiliency under track and hard braking conditions. More so, a special alloy mix has been used during casting to specifically increase hardness and tensile strength values, producing a rotor that has added crack resistance. All discs are zinc plated to prevent corrosion.

Rotors are 100% made in the USA.

Why these are a must-have:

• Direct bolt-on requires no modification (works with OE calipers)
• Reduced unsprung weight over stock
• Aircraft-grade aluminum hats; black anodized
• Directional vents on hats for additional cooling
• Better value and lower cost of ownership over OE
• Replaceable outer ring and hardware (unlike OE)
• Proper venting for left and right application (unlike OE)
• More efficient heat dissipation and less brake fade
• Improved acceleration, braking and cornering with less weight
• Rotors are zinc plated to prevent corrosion and mitigate oxidation

I am already using your drilled/slotted brakes on my SL55

and last, what kind of brakes pads do you recommend? I use the standard AMG's the tend to wear out every few 9 months (I am a track junkie)

The 390mm rotor upgrade for cars with 360's comes with a special adapter kit to allow the rotor to bolt-on to the OE caliper. At this time, the adapter kit will work with E/CLS/SL55 with 8P calipers. An adapter kit for the 63 AMG 6P will be available soon. A 19" wheel is recommended for the 390 rotors. Most OE 19" wheels will work fine.

Brake pads will depend on application and use. Akebono or Pagid work well for OE style pads. We also offer a number of other options, including Porterfields for track use.
