Hey cal1, I'm gonna change the wheels during the next months by MAE Crown Jewels and after that I'll lower it a bit by a module from loweringmodule.com.

I've bought an aftermarket Radio but right now I'm not sure if I should install it.

Best regards.

Sounds cool. I like the wheels on it. they look a lot like the SL65 gun metal stars. I always wanted a set on my car. it is Pewter metallic and I think the gun metal Gray would look nice. I have a similar lowering module. The best thing about is that you can set it to go back to normal ride height at what ever speed you choose.

Beautiful car !

What model year is your car .?

There is something strange. Your SL55 seems to be a MY 2007 according to the bumpers and the steering wheel with paddles.

But the alumium trim / Navigation module is the one found in 2002/2006 models... strange

Yes it's one of the last from 2006. Best regards.

You can't have that trim and paddles at the same time. that trim goes with buttons. Your trim is from 2002 to 2004 (I made a mistake in my previous post). You bumpers and steering wheel starts in 2007. You car is not stock.

The first owner bought it 2006. So I think it's a 2006 MB SL 55 AMG. Best regards.

I don't know you car. All I know is that the trim around the navigation system changed in 2004.

Before 2004

After 2004

after 2004 there is no more Alu/Wood around the screen. Your car HAS alu around the screen. Therefore, that's a pre-2004 SL and cannot be a MY 2006. Look at the registration papers.

You car has probably been retro-fitted with MY 2007 bumpers and steering wheel.

You're right I can see the differences but the first owner bought it in 06. Regards
