I was wondering if anyone could help me out with a problem I came across today. Some friends and myself were changing the brakes today. My friend only disconnected the positive terminal for some reason..I thought it was supposed to be the negative? It was disconnected for about 4 hours. After the brakes were changed turned the car on and got a red battery light saying to visit workshop. I have been reading up trying to figure out a solution to clear it Is the Star DAS the only thing to clear this problem, what else can be done?

Correct. Unless they messed up something.

Why did you disconnect the battery? I have yet to see sbs misbehave and try to clamp fingers and tools

Thanks, drove the car around light cleared on it's own! I was told to disconnect battery for that exact reason about finger clamping..just didn't want to chance it. Thanks for the input guys.
