Really slow to engage reverse gear

Wondering if anyone had any insight as to if my transmission is about to kick the bucket.

I back my car into my garage every night and when i go to engage reverse it takes a solid 5 seconds for it to start backing up.

It shifts well through all the gears, just takes some time in reverse.

Anyone else have this problem? I really hope I don't need to rebuild my tranny.

Thanks

What fluid was used? Sounds like it might have the wrong fluid in it, but could also be low. On some other cars, have found if the wrong fluid was used without the needed friction modifiers, it would cause a similar symptom. Was it doing it before the tranny service? Good luck.

Had the service done at the stealership. I'll check the level however.

Thanks.
