Metallic sound on cold sl55 start up?
When I start up my cold 2005(43,000 mile) SL55 it makes a high pitched metallic sound for about 15 seconds then it goes away and the car runs and performs fine.
The sound reminds me of when a metal fan blade would hit the radiator on old muscle cars. I think the fan in my MB is plastic.
It's in storage now for the winter, but would appreciate any ideas if you've had a similar problem and have a "fix".
