I have about 3000 miles on my new 2013 sl63amg. I had noticed that there was play up and down in the steering wheel. They replaced the steering column and the play disappeared. After about 400 additional miles the play has returned. As I accelerate and pull on the steering wheel there is a slight movement towards me: about 2 mm. It happens intermittently and I can replicate it by pulling the steering wheel towards myself. Before they replaced the steering column I could push it away and pull it towards me and it would move both ways about 2mm. Now it does the same but less frequently. It is however getting worse.
