COMFORT RIDE between SL550 & SL55 AMG
I wanna buy an sl 2007 or 2008 in canada but the roads here are worse than new york... was hoping someone could tell me the difference between both cars as far as ride comfort suspension etc... my E55 amg was just no fun driving around canada with all the roads... I figured worse case scenario I get an sl550 exhaust ecu etc... put some nice wheels and good enough... wont be crying everytime I hit a pot hole.
What do you guys think?!?
thank you!

I am not sure of the SL550 but my SL55 (2007) is not the smoothest over bumpy roads and is a bit jarring. It is my daily driver (well one of them) and replaced an E55 which was much more compliant. My guess is it has to do with the weight. I already bent two rims on the NJ turnpike. Ugh.

MBWorld Fanatic!
I had a E55 AMG and I thought it was one of the most comfortable cars
I had, beaten only by my S600. If you find this uncomfortable I would
forget SL's indeed any type of sports car. More speed means firmer ride,
otherwise it will fall off the road. A Citreon 2CV , now that's what I call
