Dealer is quoting me a 39 month, 7500 mile lease on a $158,155 sticker '13 SL63 for $2400 month 0 down. Good or bad?
Residual is 48%, not sure what the history of the '13 residuals have been such as when it first launched. I'm trying to get an idea if the the '14 residuals could be come Aug/Sept when they arrive.

Sounds pricey. That's what I had seen for an SLS roadster lease. Originally Posted by JumpinJim

An SL550 for example at 15k miles/39 months has a 56.5% residual.
Good luck
I think they can do better, they'll have to lower the price more. 48% is the going rate for the SL63 though. If you want to see pathetic look up the SL65. It's only 40 or less depending on miles.

Well I have to say this. A lease is no different than a finance contract other than residual. The most important factor in both is the lease interest factor. What is it?? I say this because you are charged interest on entire amount of capitalized cost. ( which is selling price ) AND residual.
Take the lease factor and times it times 24 and that will give you approximate interest rate. Then you can work back adding residual and see what they are selling car for.
So what is lease factor? Msrp ??
