SL55/63/65/R230 AMG: Running In
I did not realise there were in small writing Running In Instructions on
the inside of the windshield.
It says no more than 4500 rpm , no kick down , and no more than 85mph.
Surely they are joking 85 in 7th gear is under 2000 rpm, if you accelerated
it would damage the engine, driving in too high a gear will damage the engine more that slightly over revving it.
You can't help ocassionally kick down. especially if your overtaking.
I thought all AMG engines are bench run in. Are Mercedes going soft
newly built engines go right from assembly to the dyno for tuning also.
