Microphone and Bluetooth Reception
Does anyone have problems with the reception or call quality when having a conversation over the stock SL's Bluetooth phone system?
Here's my problem. I just got an 05 SL55. It has the stock phone adapter. I have the newest BT puck (pictured below). I can hear the other person just fine - comes in loud and clear. But the other person reports that it sounds like my top is down, even when it's not (a lot of static and wind noise).
Does anyone else have that problem? Is it a bad microphone? Bad BT puck? - Although I think this is unlikely.
Thanks Everyone!

From what I know there are only two pucks. The old one and the new one. Both are actually the same with the new one having a different case and newer firmware.
Here is what the old one looks like:

I can't imagine Bluetooth is the cause of the low quality calls... Mainly because I hear the other person perfectly fine. If I wasn't able to hear the other person well, I would suspect that it was a BT problem. The other person can hear me, but they report that there's a lot of background noise.

Don't want to hijack the thread but I have the same puck in my 05 S430 and although I hear folks fine...they say it sounds like I'm driving through a tunnel with all of the windows down. I wonder if it's a puck issue, COMAND related or a poor connection to microphone?
I'm trying to diagnose this because my right arm is getting tired of holding the phone when I'm on calls
Thanks all!
