Best spark plug and wires for the SL55
Hey Everyone,
Can anyone recommend the best spark plug and wires for the SL55 and where to get them? The seem to vary in price and brands greatly. oediscountparts.com has them for $14 while autohaus has them for $5. I don't even know where to get Evosport wires and how much of a difference they'll make.
Can anyone chime in with a recommendation? I'm looking for the best spark plug with the best wires.
I'm trying to do this DIY:

Thanks!

Does this look like the right set of wires?

Yes, that looks like the correct set of wires. But first, is there anything wrong with your factory plug wires? Have the coil end or plug end of any wires been damaged from previous removal? There really isn't any 'performance' to be found in aftermarket plug wires with these cars. It isn't like moving to a low resistance wire in an american muscle car after upgrading to an H.E.I. or M.S.D. ignition. These MBs already have the correct resistance wire matched to the coil pack. So unless there is damage, I think plug wires fall into the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" category.

Thanks PDC,
I ended up PMing BrianS and he recommended getting the spark plugs from www.rockauto.com. The NGK ILFR6A is correct. I ended up getting the ignition wires too just in case.
