I just bought my 07 sl55. Love the car but it only came with one key. Paid $350 from the stealer for a factory replacement. The problem is the new key won't work with the keyless go system. The original key works fine but after numerous attempts to make the new one work I'm now being charged diagnostic fees with the assurance I'll probably need a new "box" that will accept the programming for the new key. At this point I'm looking at an additional $500 just to push my start button. Has this happened to anyone else? Any suggestions?

Problem solved. They said they were able to reset the "box" and reprogram both keys. Cost me $80 for them to figure this out. Just posting so that if this happens in the future someone else won't have to pay for their on the job training.
