Front clicking Brakes SL65

Ok guys ive looked all over and cant find much on this..The car makes a clicking noise when i step on the brakes similar to what a cv joint sounds like when its bad. , I was reading someplace about rotor springs?? But the car only has 16k hwy miles on it and plenty of meat on the pads..Any ideas?
Its only the left front.

2006 sl55 030 option - sold
A clicking noise in the front brakes is normally do to the pad or pads shifting. You would need to take it apart and check where pads ride.
Hope this helps

Not using the brakes aggressively every now and then will result in weird brake wear patterns and noises. Go do some Italian tuning and report back

I seen your other thread with the new rims, it maybe can be your lug bolts are a tad too long and rubbing somethings inside the hub. Maybe not but just a thought.

Na it was doing it with the oem wheels , Those wheels were made for the car no spacers or rings , The lugs are exact oem also just chrome

Are you sure? They might look the same but 1 or 2 mm longer would be all you need to hit...I had this problem on my 996 turbo way back when. Had to buy new bolts. It would be odd that it is only 1 wheel..but odder things have happened.

if you have the 2 piece rotors then double check all the mounting nuts and bolts for the discs and rotor hats.

Solved !! I took off the tire and gave all the mounting nuts a little tweek with a small 1/4 in ratchet and socket , a few were slightly loose, Noise is GONE!
Thanks for the help.
