SL55/63/65/R230 AMG: Key Less and noise maker

Key Less and noise maker
Finally got my '04 SL55, and am grinding out the 1000 mile break-in. Well not exactly grinding 
Issues: How the heck do we stop the binging noise from that obnoxious noise maker under the dash, every time I open the driver side door without the key in proximity of the SL. The dash reads out to take the key (it thinks the key is in the car or in the ignition. This would make sense if I had the key with me, but it is in the house about 100 feet away. Two service managers are clueless, and have no solution, other than take out the all purpose noise maker, which they of course will not do ("we could be liable for something" --- how about service :p .
Any solution... software, or do I just cut the bugger out.
With about 500 miles I am starting to hear that compressor squeak , not yet an irritant. Has anyone corrected the squeak ?
Spectacular drive and ride...apples and oranges when comparing to my 996TT.
Any comments greatly appreciated...

The SC squeak sound is well know for MB's SC. It sounded when the SC engaged. I don't think there is a REAL solution to it. Someone had the SC belt tighten but it comes back after few hundred miles.
