Steering wins the day

I have been test driving the Jag and after borrowing it for the day there is one thing the Jag beats my SL on and that's steering. When I first drove the SL I noticed how light the steering was, it's now electric. When your driving quickly the SL steering doesn't get enough feel, and the faster you go the
more worried you get, at least I do. On the other hand I found myself going quicker in the Jag F type, the steering is superb, so is the gear change , and that exhaust . Even the Porsche was critiscised by it's electric steering.
So I am going to change the 63 for a Jag F Type V8 supercharged.
And of course there is the Jag looks. Def not white, everything now days is
white with black wheels, I even saw a Prius like it .

The Jag going faster? You mean on curvy country roads?

In a straight line my SL63 is faster than the V8 jag, however mine is tweaked
and in stock form I think the Jag would be faster, they both quote 4.2 sec
to 60. When it comes to twisty road the Jag would pull away from the SL.
There is only one thing, my wife says I can't change because she prefers
the SL63

The SL63 stock isn't anywhere 4.2, more in the mid to high 3's ( as tested by several car mags). I think you are over-estimating the Jag.

Funny thing when watching the Chris Harris video, one of the things he complained about was the numb steering and somewhat removed handling. I also remember him loving the SL63 over the M6.

Personally I really like the looks of the F-type, but in think that car is not in the same league as the SL. I am just looking at a very pricey version of a cheaper car.

Hats off to Tata. Jags have come a long way from their dusty old models...

There is one factor though Wolfman, I have driven both so I can compare
without taking a reviewers opinion. Both MB and Jaguar print that 0-62 is
4.2 seconds, if it was less then that believe me they would print it. The
Jaguar is definitely the drivers car, but less relaxing, all the reviewers say
the Jaguar is very responsive but a little tiring.
When I got my SL63 stock it felt better speed wise than the previous SL63
non turbo, but the re map is spectacular and I can certainly feel and hear
the extra power, I would say the 0-62 is about 3.8, and yet the Jag stood
up to the 63 when driving on the twisty stuff.
The 2 things going for my 63 is looks in White with black wheels and cf pack
and straight line speed, but the Jag beats it for Fun and looks.

Perhaps both are underrated, something that MB and BMW seem to like doing as of late. Printed numbers are worst rather than best case scenarios.

After my wives spine surgeries, we can't do AMG cars anymore but our prior SL600 easily beat most 55's and 63's I came across. What was interesting is that our R231 SL550 (non-chipped yet) is faster than the SL600, at least up to a point.
