Sl 55 fuel filler cap.
Now don't shoot me down chaps on this one cos it might be a daft question.following on from my noisy fuel pump thread when I fill up with petrol,which I have only done twice by the way,I get a vacuum rush of air into the tank.is this normal?could this be the cause of the pump noise ? Does the fuel cap have a breather?am I clutching at straws?

Doesn't sound normal to me - never experienced this on my SL55 (which I have filled many times under differing climatic conditions).

2006 sl55 030 option - sold
Your car has a closed fuel system. When the tank is low you may get that sound. This is Normal.
