SL55 SL65 rear calipers question
Anyone know if the rear calipers from an SL65 are interchangeable with the SL55?
Part numbers for SL65 calipers are 20.8043.02 and 20.8044.02!
Not sure what they are for an SL55 but pretty sure they are different, visually they look the same to me though.

The SL65 has larger rotors and calipers...
Since the SL65 has much larger two piece Rotors on all four corners and definitely has absolutely huge front Calipers I would suspect the rears are larger also?
I know that my SL55 always seemed under braked in the canyons but my SL65 stops great!

According to EPC the rear calipers for a 2008 SL55 are:
A 003 420 82 83 (Right)
A 003 420 81 83 (Left) or
A 212 423 50 98 (Right
A 212 423 49 98 (Left)
EPC lists four different sets of caliper part numbers for the SL65 including
A 212 420 50 98 (Right)
A 212 420 49 98 (Left)
So it appears the rear calipers may be interchangeable for at least some years (only an M-B parts guy can tell you for sure).
It looks like P030 SL55s got the same front rotors and calipers as the SL65 - at least some of the part numbers (there are multiples for the SL65) match.
