Newbie with a problem...Imagine that.
My BRIDE recently purchased a 2006 sl55 AMG. On a trip back from the shows in NORTH FL., it had an idler pully explode and threw the belts. I replaced the above and now on start up the car shows the INFAMOUS++++VISIT WORKSHOP+++service brakes. Before purchase we had a "Peace of Mind Inspection at a Tampa Dealer, who gave the car a "clean bill of health". The car has shown other (battery & ABC) codes. I need to sort this out on the brakes first. I see this and others identified by numbers also. What number is this car?
Will a regular code reader,"read" this car?
I await your expertise, so jump right in here.
From Central FLORIDA, deep in the STRAWBERRY FIELDS, I'm listening

I had a bad battery throw up ABC, ESP, Brake errors and had issues with crank would go away after I turned the car off and on after 5 mins, Could be a bad battery? Other then that haven't had that issue, but after seeing that red visit workshop message for my battery and having it turn on about 5-6 times with other errors mixed in, when I swapped it, it all went away

MBWorld Fanatic!
could be the pads are low and code is brake pad sensors, could be low fluid or something routine , could be more serious, have to have mecedes or someone read the codes, maybe try Bergman in Brandon
