2009 SL 63 AMG
Warped Carbon Fiber Shifter

I have a 2009 SL 63 AMG, and the carbon fiber shifter decoration has warped a bit and pulled away from the shifter knob. It has some flex in it, and I can pull it down tight to the shifter knob, but it springs back out to the warped state when I release it. If I get into the car when it has been parked in the sun, the carbon fiber seems to be more limber and easier to pull tight to the shifter knob. Is there a way to use heat to remold the carbon fiber trim so that it fits properly to the shifter knob?
