Hey folks,


I am looking for a sport car, that's special, rare, exclusive, sounding great for a budget of 50-60 K and that's a keeper, as I want to keep it for a long time.


I looked for a special import (15 + years to respect canadian law of importation) and the decieded that I want something that's easy to service and not have to wait for pièces to be shipped from Europe...


So I stopped my research to the great SL65 AMG (04-06) or the legendary Vanquish Mk1.


I know that the lines of the Vanquish are more exclusive and even prettier, but in term of production run the SL65 AMG still extremely rare...I mean even today, the numbers of the SL65 are astonishing, especially the Torque and Power (Compared to the Vanquish).. But which of these 2 cars do you think will be a better investment... If I want to keep the car 10-15 years..

Hi,
I have a Vanquish S and before had the Vanquish.
It's a fantastic special and good looking car. But the performance are not the best. specially the gearbox. the sl65 it's a faster car, but it looks just an old mercedes. instead the vanquish is a classic car. in my point of view this is the difference between old and vintage!!!
that's only my idea...

Neither is an "investment", but SL65 all day...

I think the Aston DB S is probably the most beautiful looking car, wipes
out the SL for looks, but Mercedes have cracking engines and gearboxes.

Just remember that the motor must out when it's time to replace the motor mounts, and it's an 13 hours job at MB.....
