OK while I was having my wheels fitted, the guy said do you realise someone
has removed half your exhaust. When I looked from the tailpipes to half way
along the car is just a big pipe.
When I test drove it before I bought it I thought it had more bark and grumble than my last 65. Now I look at the post about resonators and apparently they are in the middle not the tailpipe end. I'll try to get some pics.

 

There aren't ANY resonators on the SL65/600 only has mufflers & cats. Prior owner must've removed your mufflers..

 

Removing the mufflers on a 65 I suppose would be similar to a SL55 with
resonators deleted, in terms of noise output.
