SL55 POWER LOSS

Hello guys,

I have replaced the IC PUMP a week ago, but nothing changed. When I start the car, the supercharger runs fine, and it keeps running for like 3-4 minutes, then it shut downs, and power doesn't come back unless I shut down the car and turn it again.

On the star diagnostic it gives an error about the cooling system, the workshop says it maybe a clogged heat exchanger or intercooler, and I'm really afraid of changing new parts which aren't a part of the problem.

Any help?

what ambient temps are you running the car in. chances are if it is 90F ambient the SC will shut off after 3 to 4 runs even if you have an upgraded pump

This is the process for venting the IC circuit. I don't know about you, but is is does not look easy which is what keeps me from changing out my IC pump.

@Shardul, the temperature running is between 80 and 95, the weather is too hot in beirut, so the car temperature moves between 80 and 95 all the time, and yes it shuts down after 3 runs, yet it doesn't come back unless I turn off the car and turn it again.

at those ambient temp levels the car will heat soak and the SC will shut off.
Maybe put a heat exchanger it will help.

Its weird, the car last year used to work fine with those temperatures, but I assume the heat exchanger or the intercooler are clogged!

SL55 IC system is self bleeding. You need to use a data logger and monitor Intake temperature to see if system is working. I use a Ultragauge. Very cheap.
