Need help decoding VIN for more info on car.
I have access to a friends Dealer Auction account and a SL is going for sale on Wed. The only thing I know about the car is:
2003 SL55, BLACK with 63k Miles.
I really want white, but my estimate from past dealer auctions is that it will sell around 20-21k. Want to know what options are on the car and any other info I can get. Interior Color? Etc...
I use to have a account to pull the data card but cant find the site to login. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!

Just FYI.
I registered with Mercedes as a service shop and got access to the online system and ran the data card myself. The car had all the options I had to have.
Car high bid was 21700. It didn't sell however and will most likely go next week.

you should do a car fax history on it, and go to a dealer and get the master sheet history for the car, before you try to buy it

Why risk buying a lemon for $21k+ with unknown service history and issues when you can buy kustom2k1's car (asking $26k) with proven mods.
Your likely immediate maintenance and repair bills for small issues with the auction car will be $2k minimum I bet. (engine/tranny/abc fluid changes, leaky abc strut/pump, old trunk struts, seat massage functions not working and might I throw in new tires and brakes?)
