Sl55 AMG no acceleration at times.
Hi Guys, the car is quite old 2003 Model was my dads now we have both upgraded.
Few Problems though main i am wanting to find out is i can be going slow or fast not all the time but if i hit a bump ( i dont have to) my accelerator stops. it slows me down to around 40 miles per hour and i look like an idiot pulling over and lifting the bonnet to try sort it out. there is a cable plugged into this little box ( https://i.imgur.com/7zINARf.jpg )
basically.... we had this problem several years ago they explained what to do when it happens open the bonnet and just wiggle that little cable
dad had to keep doing this alot so he got fed up and took it to the garrage they replaced it but they thought it was the box at fault.. we think its the cable i think whats happening is it brushes what its supposed to connect to and will slip when going fast or over a bump.. anybody know how to fix it or any sollutions? or methods. as now i have the car and it happened 2 times going on 1 duel carrige way its dangerous as i might be doing 40 on a duelcarrigeway.
