Hi everyone. Looking for some help regarding a smelly A/C. Every now and then when I first start my car, the A/C smells like cat urine for only a few seconds then my A/C smells fine. Its a very strong door. I figure its probably bacteria or mild on my evaporator like most in this forum have already found out. I purchased some Contra Sept to spray on the evaporator. The problem is I can't figure out where exactly my Evaporator is! I removed the 2 filters (and replaced with new ones) and looked inside. I can see the blower on one side (toward the outer passenger side) and vents that lead towards the center console. So my questions are: is the Evaporator located toward the centre (underneath the radio)? Or is the evaporator even accessible in the car. I just need to know where to shove the long hose of the Contra Sept. I drive a 2009 SL63. Any diagrams would truly help. Thanks!
