SL55/63/65/R230 AMG: New Style Mirror Cover Help

New Style Mirror Cover Help
Installed the new style mirror covers today.
They work fine, however when the car is off they still flash like every 6 seconds. The flashing is very dim however, anyone know what is wrong? They happen on both side mirrors.
Attached is a vid to show:
Note 1: I have a smart top module installed as well.
Note 2: The puddle led light that came with the new cover is not connected.
Our cars did not come with a puddle light so its a pita to get it connected, i just left the wire unconnected.
Help anyone?

do you have any error codes on your display? So weird cuz I have the same ones from howell on mine and never had this issue, only thing I can think of is the smart top update or theres only 2 wires, perhaps something is getting grounded out on the connection is my only guess

my friend (same car same year same mirror covers) does not have the puddle light wire connected and his works just fine. also i dc the smart top module and the turn signals still do the same thing..
side note: both turn signals don't flash at the same time they alternate
