OK, I'm relatively new to the SL55 model. What exactly does this throttle body do for the engine? I assume it's larger than OE, but if so, how much larger in area, and what result does that give in torque? HP increase is of no consequence to me.
I have the Eurocharged smaller supercharger pulley and ECU flash as well as a belt wrap kit on the car.
its about 20-30hp gain, its actually a mod almost all the 55 guys do. Do a search on this forum. The only reason I'm selling this one is because I have an extra one. I believe the stock TB is 74mm. But it is a great power upgrade. Read up on the forum more about it. you're going to need to get a y-pipe as well and an adapter plate. Speedriven makes an adapter for like $60. Give them a call.
pretty much, you will need an adapter plate you can get from speedriven for $70. You should get it from them and when you call them, ask them if you will need anything else. Here is the link.
