Why would you want it to run constantly? Aside from it not being necessary, it will burn the pump out.

A friend of mine has done big mods on his SL55 and has huge I/C heating issues. He is not willing to go the meth or trunk tank cooler route. He has installed a bigger, custom I/C and wants to keep circulating the coolant.
Keeping the pump running with the ignition turned on is a common mod on the E55 forum and wont burn the pump out - just reduce it's life cycle. The problem is that the wiring in both cars (E55 vs SL55) is different which is why I am asking on this forum.
