How would one go about removing the door actuator (circled in red) from the door? It's literally sandwiched in between the door metal and I have no idea how you would go about getting it out of there. Can someone shed some light on this?

I am not sure what you mean by 'actuator' but I am guessing it is the door lock. I have attached a couple of prints from WIS that might help you.

Thanks for posting those! Attached is a picture of the piece I am trying to get out. I broke a little plastic piece that holds & pushed the metal rod when the door locks/unlocks whenever I was removing the interior trim to wrap it.

It looks like it's held in place by just two bolts on the side of the door and then you can reach up and grab it from the opening underneath of the airbag?

That is the door lock. The WIS printout gives you steps on how to R/I the door lock. I think you might need the attached as well for instructions on how R/I the IR receiver.
