SL55/63/65/R230 AMG: clicking noise?

clicking noise?
I just started noticing that my SL makes clicking noises when I cold start the car and back out (or go forward) of my driveway with the wheel turned (right or left) all the way. Sounds like it's coming from somwhere around the front tires. Is this normal? I could've sworn that it didn't make that noise before I left for school in the fall.

no one else has had this problem??? 
also noticed that i was wrong in my first observation about the cold start thing... it makes the clicking noise whenever i reverse with wheels turned, almost like a gearbox turning. also noticed that sometimes at the light the car would make that clicking sound.
good thing i have an appointment at the dealer tomorrow to have my front left marker lights replaced, might as well tell them about this problem. except i really really really do not trust the techs at the dealership (and there is only one mercedes dealership on oahu). i was hoping other people on this forum could shed some light on the issue so that i could just tell the people there what the problem could be. oh well.
