8 Piston Brake question: Piston sizes?
I am trying to figure out whether the piston sizes differ between the 8 piston calipers used on the SL65 and SL55/600.

Either that or who I can ask for said information.

Both outwardly look identical.

It's confusing because some sources say 8 pistons other say 6... I haven't been able to figure out what is the right number

2005 SL65
2005 SL65 has eight piston on the front. Well, mine does anyway.

06 SL65AMG, 13 Tesla Model S 60kwh, 02 Jaguar S-Type 3.0, 12 S550 4 Matic, 07 E320 Bluetec, 06 LX470
It was either after 07 or 09 they went from 8 pistons to 6, idk why tho

Current: C217 V12TT AMG Previously: C55 AMG, SL65 AMG
07+ SL65 had the 6 pistons
08+ SL600 had the 6 pistons

It was just the next iteration of improvements from Brembo...

Or to save money, as 6 piston calibers are much cheaper than 8....
