Boot/roof pump failure

Has anyone experienced pump failure on the boot/roof mechanism?
The reason I ask is my car refuses to open using the key fob and will not close when pressing the button.
As I've only had the car a few days and have returned it to have this investigated and have been told it is OK and working now. Was it just me being a newbie idiot or is something going to bite me in the butt at a later stage.

It could be the rear battery, mine had the same problem.
When cars hang around in dealers they quite often get flat batteries which
means most of the accessories don't work, I put a new battery in mine £120
so not cheap, but now everything works perfect. What SL did you get.

I have been informed that it works OK now but I've yet to collect the car. It is a 2008 SL63 with PP. I'm going to get an independent to look over it as I'm not too happy about a couple of things and it has a 12 month warranty.
Car is now back and the boot and roof are working perfectly the boot opens from the fob and closes via the now illuminated red button. Out of sequence by all accounts.

That's good to hear it now works. I have had a 2009 63 and I now drive
a 2010 63, so if you have problems just post it, I go on the Forum most
days

I do have a question about the dipstick (which I thought was for the gearbox) as that's usually where they are placed. Mine has three marks where should the level be and should it be done before starting. never had a dry sump car so this is all new to me although I will check the manual too.

I definitely would not play around with gearbox issues, I was told over
filling it can destroy it, let a main dealer see to it.
