Hoorah a member with some brains, it's so logical that this situation
cannot be the pump, however it's worth changing if there old, but in
this case the op says his car pulls hard so I doubt he needs to change
the I/c pump, and save himself £500, or more from MB.

^ There may very well be some sort of crazy limit set on this particular car. I would go into DAS and look to see if the limit can be lowered, but I think it would be in developer which means it is in German.
I can personally attest to what an SC shutdown feels like during WOT and let me tell you, a brick wall is just about right. The car pulls like crazy and wham it seems like all power is gone. the first time it happened to me, I thought something catastrophic had happened. The normal drivers first reaction at least mine was to come right off the throttle and check the MFD for warning lights.

Just for kicks, I popped into DAS to have a look. You definitely hit "development data" which is when Sprechen in Deutsch is definitely a plus. I did work my way to "Implizite kodierung ME281 AMG C5-Stand. Implizite kodierung is implicit coding. I scrolled down and found a window with Vmax=x setting. The highest vmax setting I found was 250 km/h which is about 155 mph. Interestingly though, I found the lowest vmax setting to be 180 km/h which just happens to be 111.87 mph. Damn close to the 110 mph the OP has been talking about.
If this does turn out to be the OPs issue that someone reset his VMAX limit, I am not sure if I will be able to state that sound 8 was finally right about something and I was wrong.

I wasn't speaking of the IC pump failing itself, but instead when the IATs hit whatever temp is necessary to tell the ECU to shut down the SC.

you thought was wrong, in fact it's great that you persevered with your
point, that's what the forum is about, I don't want to win browny points
because I was right, I didn't want the op to spend a lot of money only
to find out the problem was still there. So excuse my pig headedness.

I had 2 vehicles with limiters that I hit a 5.0 mustang GT ,and my dodge pick up which was around 100 mph ,the mustang I believe was 134 ,both vehicles iirc got to that speed nicely but kind of slowly just hung at those speed, they in no way hit a wall so to speak,oh and a rental that at 110 mph bounced off the rev limiter ,that time I thought I blew the motor lol

I do. I feel like because a number of us took the time to try and help out the OP. He could at least tell us what happened. Many of these threads end up helping other members out.
I can just imagine the poor guy that does a search and this thread pops up. He is thinking "cool, this sounds like my problem. What was the solution?" He reads the thread only to find there is no conclusion.

Where the hell is 1320 pilot, I think he was just pulling our leg, and having
a big laugh while we tried to sort it out. He probably made it up
