rear pad replacement

Can you remove the rear pads w/out dissabeling or affecting the SBD pressure system

Yes, but don't open the doors or hit the remote,this may cause caliper piston to come in a bit been doing it for years on My SL55 no problem,people will tell you the pistons will shoot out and take off your fingers ,if your not comfortable disconnect brake SBC connector by the coolant reservoir,even when done you have to pump breaks a bit,kind of blows away that myth of the calipers shooting out if you open the door or turn key forward ,at least on my car anyway

yes I intend to let it sit overnite, and leave the keys across the house. Leave the car alone and then try to slide them out and see if they come peacefully. I didnt think there would be a problem.

WIS definitely warns that SBC must be deactivated before working on brakes. That said, there are a number of work arounds. One I have read is the disconnect the battery. I agree with the posts above that you can make sure SBC doesn't "wake up" on you by keeping your key fob a long way from the car. Put your window down just in case you need to reach into the car. Don't open the door.
