Strange as heck....mysterious problem - help?
I open the door to the car and a low consistent static noise comes from the passenger side Bose surround sound system speaker and continues as I start the car and drive off.....without the radio on.....any ideas on what it could be........gremlin in my car....when I turn the radio on the low static is masked by the radio..........

My mind automatically goes to a connection issue: ground, insulation rubbed off, or maybe even a wire on the verge of breaking. The amp could
Also be losing a channel.
I know these cars a pretty well wired but I've replaced some broken wires on the older CLs in the door hinge area.

Resetting ECU has fixed a couple radio related issues that I've had: Key to On position. Press gas pedal to floor and hold for at least 5 seconds. Turn Key Off. Release gas pedal.

Thanks for posting this. Sounds like a nice little simple reset that could make some of the gremlins disappear.
