Without doubt different wheels take pot holes better than others.
Nearly all the deep concave types seem to buckle easy, After 4 months
my Mandrus wheels were all buckled, some more then others. I now have
Niche with spokes on the rim edge and after nearly a year, nothing, not a mark on them, and I have bin down a few pot holes. Spending up to and above 5 grand really hurts when they bend after a collision. Quite often
the wheels you want are delicate, and when you have repaired them nobody
wants them.. I KNOW.

I've had Mandrus and Vossen's.........and 6 sets of HRE's.........the HRE's are without a doubt the best wheel........yes, they'll cost you, but it's worth it especially if you are going to keep your car a while......I've never been over 10K for a set (that's including tires)...anywhere from 1200-2300 per wheel......you get what you pay for though

MHT makes Niche. They also have lines of forged wheels. I can't say that HRE's are any better then MHT's. I too ran MHT wheels on my old CL and never had an issue. In my opinion, you are paying a super premium for the HRE name. I'm not saying HRE's are not good but I don't believe they are worth the price.

^totally understandable......no experience with the others you mentioned.....I've just gotten used to the quality and finish of HRE......I know I sound like the fanboy haha....
I know exactly what I'm getting and I don't feel uncomfortable about spending for the HRE's......plus lifetime warranty for structural repairs if they 'go bad' although I have not had to make that claim yet, doubt I will as I change wheels often from the others I have..
good luck OP
