2007 SL65 New ECU
MY ECU was just replaced. The part that talks to the fuel system fried. Since getting it back from the dealer I now get the Convience Items not available message every morning (its my DD). At first I thought it was maybe from it sitting at the dealer for two weeks waiting for the part and would go away after I drove for awhile. Trunk battery is relatively new.
Any thoughts? Maybe battery got killed sitting two weeks? Is the new ECU doing something the old one wasn't and draining that battery?
I'm stumped and dealer could not think of anything.

That one is brand new not even 3 months old. Also are you sure it helps the accessories? Dealer said it does nothing but start and ignition.

The battery under the hood is the starter battery. There's another battery in the trunk (right side under panel). That's the accessory battery. It's also an AGM battery. Measure the voltage on that battery. There are some thresholds that will cause the message. My old battery wouldn't read more that 11.5 volts when I saw the message. I've since replaced that battery and no more messages.
