Help please- interior console changes
Dealership may have messed up husband's order and ordered black ash wood rather than the aluminum which he wants. (he ordered brilliant silver/berry red SL55 AMG). Now the dealership said when the car comes in, their service center will change out the wood to aluminum there at the service center.
My question is: is this a complicated thing that they shouldn't even be trying ,or faily simple? We don't want it to look any different or make any comprimises on this car, and we don't want to agree to something that may be impossible. on the other hand,
if it an easy switch, we'll take the car.

I should think that the switch will be fairly straight forward. There are already many aftermarket console trim pieces avialble, so as long as all the parts are changed, it might be on the doors too, i would not think it a problem at all
