Tore the Front Air Dam on SL65 AMG
Well, not used to having a car that won't clear parking curbs. I'm mad at myself for tearing the bottom of the Air dam bumper.
How expensive is my mistake?

I had one repaired and repainted for around $750. A new one will be big bucks but there are some nice ones on Ebay for around $600 if yours can't be repaired.

After close inspection and tweaking it back to position, the damage isn't noticeable. I'll pick up some epoxy to apply to the tears along the bottom. I'm going to look at how to trim and add some resilience to this piece.

Common for this car. Both of my AMG's have been damaged like this.
Here's a DIY you can attempt. You can reinforce any cracked areas by shaping an aluminum sheet, placing behind the crack, and riveting in place with countersunk rivets. Then epoxy the repair crack, sand it, and hit it with touchup paint.
Only the cost of materials and your time to repair. Your skill at the work will determine the outcome.

Is that the whole front bumper. Will having the distronic option affect the bumper choices? Obviously, I've been a bad boy.
