Would like to order new '04 SL55 for May/June delivery?
Hello, I would like order a new SL55 for early summer delivery. I am in the Chicago area. Does anyone know of any dealers with open production slots?
Or should I just wait for a 2005 model?

You shoul wait. I ordered yesterday but said the salesperson, that the car should be build from first week of june. From then on you get the actual DVD Command system and a different manual programm for the gearbox. The facelift will come next year and will most probably NOT get the SLR F1 nose. Hope I could help. Please excuse my poor english.

I have actually been on the list for over a year with a cooperative dealer who is letting me move along my spot month to month so I can time my delivery.
The SL55 still has a decent wait time although there are a growing number of used ones available. I could get a low mileage, used SL55 today if I wanted. But at this point I am going to wait and get a new 2005.
