Colours
It was quite a shock when Mercedes offered me 28k for my wide body
SL 63 AMG. I paid nearly 60k for it 2 years ago. So if it's not worth anything
let's have some fun. It is Paladium Silver at the moment, so I fancy painting
it red in fact I love Mars Red. Of course then I will have to change
the black interior to..Tan or magnolia. People say I am mad, but I am getting
old and treats are getting few and far between. What would you do ?

Sorry man...
That car looks absolutely beautiful. Leave it as is. For the cost to do all that work you can buy a Mars Red SL55 and then have a sweet SL paddock.
Cheers!

I'm personally not a fan of the interesting colours you've chosen but I do have a suggestion you might consider:
For departures from the norm, such as that you are contemplating with colour, consider trying a "wrap". This way once you tire of the colour, you can simply pull off the vinyl-like material and you're back to stock.
(e.g. mbworld.org/forums/sl55-amg-sl63-amg-sl65-amg-r230/621095-don-nguyen-wannaberacer-com-vehicle-wrap-tint-plastidip-custom-decals-2.html )
Excellent widebody conversion, by the way.

I think the best advice I got from a man in the trade was
Paint it White, with black wheels , it will be worth more when
You have had some fun.
Which no doubt you will.

Hey I might be thick, but a member suggested vinyl wrap, and what a great
idea. No need for metallic, just gloss white. I have been quoted £2500 that;s
$3175 and I have no Idea whether that's fair or not. And then some black
wheels, I will post some pics when it's done.

Excellent choice!
You've done a great job with that widebody conversion, from what the pictures can show. The number you quoted for the wrap is somewhat high, but not if the work is professional and guaranteed.
Moreover during the tenure of the wrap you will have that as additional protection for the original paint.
Look forward to the pics...

Does anyone have vinyl wrap, I have been told it's difficult to clean, and
you need solvent to clean it. I was hoping for a bucket of car shampoo
and a rinse blast, that's how I usually do it.
