Were all of the 2005-2006 SL's pre-wired for satellite radio? In a 2005 55 that I recently picked it, it has the button for SAT but says "satellite radio not installed" or something to effect when pressed. Not interested in the Dension or mObridge solution but specially integrating the OEM Sat option.
From what I've read, it seems that I would need just 3 components? I have STAR/DAS to code it into the ring afterwards.
1. SDARS receiver Part # 2118706790 or 2208202097 or 2168202189 (not sure which is the newest and which have been superseded)
2. Harness/connector from receiver to head unit Part # unknown
3. Antenna Part # 2208202375 or B67830014 (can I use any SAT antenna? EX: SiriusXM NGVA3, $20)

Did you ever get the trunk satellite module installed? How did it work?
