Hi guys,

Hi just recently bought a SL55 AMG 2003 model, everything was working fine until a few days ago the rear of the car lowers itselsf when I start the car. I use the manual height raising button to increase the height and I am able to drive it. After about 100 yards ABC VISIT WORKSHOP warning comes on and then dissapears.. the ride is quite bouncy but ride height looks ok. When I park the car remains at same height but as soon as I start again the car again the rears lowers by itself and I have to repeat the above before i drive again.

I have read the ABC blog and wondering if it could be the Valve block or the rear struts??

Any advice, suggestions tips would be much appreciated.

Well if you don't want to do the diagnostics which will define the problem----change em both and hope for the best--if that doesn't work change something else until you hot the jack pot!

Needs to be diagnosed. Doesn't make sense that it lowers when the car is started. Find out what codes are in there and some values for level sensors as well as vehicle level values. Leaking valve blocks drop when the car is shut off

Thanks guys. Going to take it to an indepedent workshop that deals in suspension for merc, bm etc. Will update you what they say.
