2005 SL65 AMG
Coming back to the SL65 world. Buying my old car back.
So, things have developed to the point where the person who bought my 2005 SL65 wanted to sell it back to me and I have agreed to buy it back. After I sold it, I looked for a car for 6 months and couldn't find anything. I still have all the audio upgrades I was planning, and I'm going to do the
RacingBrake upgrade because the car has a bad vibration in the brakes when you get on them.

Also the guy curbed the right front wheel (which was already peeling chrome) so I am going to have to buy some wheels.
Yeah I left a so-so review of the car when I sold it, and it is bittersweet for me. So many things I love about the car, some things I just don't (I think it sounds terrible.) But the other things I plan to correct. I have come to terms that the car will never sound great.
I also am doing a custom cold air intake, which I'll document thoroughly on my youtube channel when I get it. A local shop is going to do that for me. I also had removed the mufflers and cats, but it's way too loud now and droney, so I need to put mufflers back on.
So, I will be active here once again and I look forward to it.
What the car has now:
RACEIQ tune for 93 Octane
RACEIQ Transmission Tune
Custom catless downpipes
Muffler delete
--coming soon
mufflers (lol)
custom cold air intakes
wheels/tires
entire audio system

he's looking for something a little more daily driver and I asked him anyway if he was planning on selling it anytime and he said next year. Well as it went he found a car this week so he wanted to sell it earlier. He bought an S65 2007. I think I kind of misworded that.

Congrats on reuniting with your SL65. After owning a 2006 CL55 with its endemic ABC issues...ironically, I almost pulled the trigger on a low mileage 2005 SL65, but chickened out. Recently traded my 08 Ford Escape for an 08 Lexus GS470...but I'm not out of the game...maybe in a few months a SL65 will be in the making, so I'll be following you.
my car has an extended warranty. As soon as the warranty expires I'm selling the car.
