Question intake manifold gasket sealant

Ok so I'm in the process of doing the 82mm throttle body upgrade and just trying to clear up some info that is not really talked about that much or if it is not really accurate and that is using gasket sealant along with the intake manifold gaskets is this the proper way, do you use the black sealant, and how is it applied? any help would be much appreciated as I am in the middle of this job as we speak.

Porsche guy who drives SL63 w/ perf pkg AND perf suspension
I never took one apart. I think 100% there is no silicone on these parts. Never do something that is not done by the factory. Assemble it with the gasket they sell and dont add anything. Look up aftermarket shops that sell similar parts and see what they include in their kits. If they say or include silicones with their kits you know it is necessary. If they make no mention about it, dont add it yourself
