OMG I wish I had seen your post half year earlier so that I could simply ask you how and what to do
I just had my DRL project done. It took me months to find suitable DRLs and another week for body shop to handcraft side grill covers. I tried LEDs from several models including CL, C, E and even 911! It turned out that DRL from W221 S63 got most similar curvature and best fitment. Notice that I didn’t use the word “exact” as there are still gaps and hence modifications are still required.
Although having gone through quite a few experiments, my body shop still couldn’t manage to integrate LED and grill cover. Hence if looked closely, my LED isn’t as naturally embedded as yours. So may I still ask how did you do yours? Where did you purchase these LEDs? It looks like your LED is fully embedded within grill cover and its length & curvature perfectly matches the grill hole whereas mine (S63 DRL) is actually ~0.3CM longer.

sorry to bring back an old thread so are you saying the s63 grille is the best fitment but requires abit of trimming? Hoping it will fit my bumper
